The players
Coello and Tapia will play the Hexagon World Series for Team Dalma. The new franchise from the United Arab Emirates has named the world number ones as its men's pair for 2027, with Portugal's Sofía Araújo, ranked ninth, and Italy's Giulia Dal Pozzo, 21 and ranked 25th, as its women's pair. At this year's Hexagon Cup, Tapia and Coello played for rival teams. Their first outing in Dalma colours is the season opener at Madrid's Caja Mágica from 21 to 24 January, and Araújo and Dal Pozzo will be pairing up only for the team event, not on the Premier Padel tour. Eight wins split the top three women in Premier Padel's all-time table. Padel Addict's count from FIP figures, up to 20 October, has Gemma Triay on 208 match wins, Paula Josemaría on 202 and Delfi Brea on 200, with Ari Sánchez fourth on 194. Among the men, Arturo Coello is the first to pass 300 wins on the tour, with a record of 301 wins and 30 defeats, ahead of Agustín Tapia on 287. Source: Padel Addict (Spanish)

The tour
The FIP tour comes to Somerset this weekend. The FIP Bronze Ewh City Padel Taunton runs its main draw from Friday to Sunday. Spain's Dani Luna and Pedro Meléndez are top seeds and arrive having won the Bronze in Alkmaar a week ago. Dutch pair Youp De Kroon and Julian Prins are chasing a third title together this season, and FIP picks out Christian Medina Murphy as the home favourite. The women's field includes Alba Vázquez, born in 2007, and Janine Hemmes, who won a FIP Silver in Bangkok last month. Source: FIP

Finals day in Melilla matters for the FIP Finals race. The FIP Gold in the Spanish city ends today, with Juan Tello and Maxi Arce top seeds in the men's draw. In the women's event, Verónica Virseda began the week 16th in the FIP Race, just 65 points ahead of Aranzazu Osoro, so every point she earns here helps her claim a place at the season finale in December. She and Martina Fassio reached the quarter-finals with a 6-1, 6-0 win. Matches are streamed on FIP's YouTube channel. Source: FIP

Business
Denmark's court building slows while its player numbers keep climbing. Actu Padel, drawing on FIP reports and the Danish federation, counts 1,614 courts in August 2026, only 39 more than ten months earlier. Licensed competitive players, by contrast, rose from 13,386 in 2023 to 18,674 in 2025, up nearly 40%. With 27.7 courts per 100,000 people, Denmark already has more courts per head than Belgium or the Netherlands, though fewer than Spain or Sweden. The article notes that judging whether the market is full would also need booking and occupancy data. Source: Actu Padel (French)

New clubs
A foster carer is building a padel group in Scotland, starting in Perth. Lesley-Anne Rumble, from Livingston, and her co-director James Callaghan hope to open Evorra Padel's first club, with five padel courts and three pickleball courts, by January. A second site in Falkirk is planned, with a possible third in West Lothian. Rumble told The Padel Paper she wants the club to reach groups often left out, including children in care, neurodivergent and disabled children, shift workers and older people, and she plans to hire female coaches.
